Our team has been working diligently to get the salon ready for reopening. We have been busy adjusting our capacity as well as cleaning up from the renovations we completed while we were closed. We have fresh paint throughout the salon and will have new flooring very soon.
Your first appointment at Michael’s following our reopening will look a little bit different. We will no longer have a traditional waiting room. We are utilizing a new check-in system where you will receive a text message 20 minutes prior to your appointment. Once you arrive in the parking lot, please respond to that text message letting us know you have arrived. Then, please wait in your car until you receive a follow up text message letting you know we’re ready for you to come inside. When you walk up to the salon you will then be greeted by one of our receptionists who will be ready to take your temperature and go through our risk questionnaire. Please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible. Due to the new sanitation guidelines, we will be on a tight schedule. Until further notice, we will be adjusting our late policy to 10 minutes. If you arrive more than 10 minutes past the time of your appointment, you will be asked to reschedule.
We have taken extra precautions to maintain the utmost care to protect you and our team. We are requiring all clients and team members to wear masks while in the salon. As a reminder, we are not liable if at any point during your service your mask becomes stained. A service-friendly mask would be best.
We will discontinue our self-service coffee bar, but we will still be offering limited beverages in disposable cups upon request. We ask that, if possible, you leave your purse at home and just bring the essentials. We will have some small plastic bags available to put your purse inside if you do need to bring it into the salon. Feel free to bring a book to read as we will no longer be providing magazines.
We ask that any guest without an appointment please stay safe at home. You will only be able to enter the salon if you have an appointment. Of course, children with appointments and clients in need of a caretaker will be permitted.
We have extended our hours so we can spread our employees throughout the salon to allow for more than a six foot distance between guests and team members.
We welcome all at risk clients- those over 60, anyone who is immunocompromised, has underlying conditions, or is pregnant to schedule appointments from 8-9 AM Monday-Thursday.
Once your appointment has ended, your service provider will walk you the front where they can help you find any products you may need, as well as getting your next appointment on the books. We have rearranged our front desk to prevent congestion in this area. We have installed plexiglass at each of the desks and we ask that you maintain all social distancing guidelines while checking out.
All service providers will be wearing masks, and/or face shields. Hand washing is the best practice, but in addition, some team members may wear gloves, so long as the service can allow for it.
We will be continuing to sell products through our online store. You may choose the pickup option and we can have your order ready. When you come to pick it up, please let us know you’re there for a pickup order and we will run your order out to you.
All tools, stations, shampoo bowls and salon surfaces are disinfected regularly between client visits. We adhere to all state board regulations, which is why we are maintaining a safe distance between each stylist station. Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns prior to your arrival. We will do everything within our ability to ensure your visit is a safe and relaxing experience.
While we won’t be able to shake your hand or give you a hug (for now), please know how excited we are to welcome you back!
